Anna Rasmussen received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in photography from Brigham Young University in 2004. She is a mother to four wonderful children and wife to Allen. She was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada as a fourth generation Nevadan, and has spent the last 20 years moving around the nation and world due to her husband's career with the United States Navy. Her photographic pursuits have led her to be passionate about documenting the beauty in the everyday life of people. 

She currently resides in a region of the United States of America where her local church congregation has members from diverse backgrounds, cultures and races. Within the congregation there is representation from all 6 continents. As she looked around at this diverse population within her own sphere of influence, she was drawn to capture the beauty and goodness of each person regardless of perceived differences. Over the course of a year she took over 200 portraits documenting these humans within her community. This work has led her to want to reach out even more to those around her, to cross barriers of differences and find unity with others.
