Bishop Gregory W. Gordon

Bishop Gordon moved to Nevada as a young teen. He attended Saint Joseph University in Philadelphia, then continued with seminary studies in Pennsylvania and the Pontifical North American College in Rome. He was ordained a deacon at Saint Peter’s Basilica and later was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Reno-Las Vegas.

Bishop Gordon served as pastor, associate pastor and administrator at several local parishes, and was a chaplain at UNLV. He served as a local collaborator to the Papal Nuncio at the Apostolic Nunciature, Washington, DC, where he was given the title Monsignor. In 2019, he was named Chancellor of the Diocese of Las Vegas. In 2021, he became Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia of the Diocese of Las Vegas, Pope Francis appointed him as the first Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Las Vegas, and he was ordained to the Episcopate. Bishop Gordon continues to serve as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia of the Diocese of Las Vegas.
